A HOTEL WITH A HISTORY
Hotel Las Cortes de Cádizis a typical Manor-house of the shippers to India, located in the heart of the city, in the historic centre of Cádiz.
Built in the 19th century for the Marqués de la Cañada, who was involved in maritime trade. Construction was completed in 1859, as can be seen on the entrance gate.
The building comprises a ground floor, where the central courtyard is located and where the balls of the period used to be held; the first floor, for the administration; the second floor belonged to the nobility and the third floor for the staff. Crowning the building is a 19th century lookout tower, from where the watchman used to see the cargo ships coming from America when arriving at the port of Cádiz.
The illustrious writer Hans Christian Andersen stayed at the hotel during his visit to Cádiz in 1862, when it was called La Fonda de París.

If you are coming by car, before checking in, we recommend first parking at the nearest car park to the Hotel, at C/Beato Diego de Cádiz 12, just 100 metres from the main entrance.
The hotel has a limited number of PARKING spaces available at 20€/day in a public car park 50 metres away (the hotel is located on a pedestrian street). The car park is situated at 12 Beato Diego de Cádiz street, just a 1 minute walk from the hotel.
